What’s your primary workout? My primary workout is running but I also like to cross train with DVD’s.  Right now I am doing Insanity.

How long have you been working out?  I have always loved sports and being active.

How often do you work out?  6 days a week.

What’s your favorite outfit to Sweat Pink in?  Depends on the workout and if its indoors or out.  But I always wear a Happy Band (www.running-happy.com)

What’s your favorite healthy snack and meal?  Snack:  Almond slivers and honey with greek yogurt.   Meal:  Chicken, quinoa and a nice spinach salad.

If you could have one cheat day where nothing counted against you, what would you eat and do?  I would eat LOTS of Cupcakes, dark chocolate and pizza!  I would have a total rest day..massage, pedicure and a nap 😉

What is your biggest motivation to staying fit? I have breast cancer, dementia, high cholesterol and heart disease in my family…I want to stay healthy to see my grandchildren someday.

Any advice for the beginners out there?   Start slow, find things you enjoy.  Variety will help keep it interesting.

What’s your favorite thing about blogging?  I love to get to know people I otherwise would have never "met"

How do you hope to inspire people?  Just to let them know you can be fit at any age and you can do it all while still having fun!  With running I emphasize that its not about being fast, its about getting out there and moving.  A slow mile and a fast mile are both still a mile.

What’s your primary workout? Running. I’m a runner nut.

How long have you been working out? I have been a runner since Fall 1999, my sophomore year of high school.

How often do you work out? At least four times a week. With the exception of this week. I’m on a taper for my first half on 11/10 and Hurricane Sandy isn’t helping either.

What’s your favorite outfit to Sweat Pink in? Oiselle distance shorts, Nike shirt with the Phat Girlz logo on it and my Phat Girlz sweatyband. Phat Girlz is the running group I was a part of when I still lived in Pensacola.

What’s your favorite healthy snack and meal? Favorite healthy meal is chicken tortilla soup made by my mom. Favorite snack is fresh fruit mainly bananas, kiwis, mangoes or peaches.

If you could have one cheat day where nothing counted against you, what would you eat and do? On a cheat day for food I would have chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. That is my all time fave meal, but it would have to be made by my mom.

What is your biggest motivation to staying fit? My biggest motivation for staying fit is feeling good about myself. And also being a good example for my daughter.

Any advice for the beginners out there? Take it slow. Anyone can be a runner you just have to start slow.

What’s your favorite thing about blogging? It helps me de-stress when I write.

How do you hope to inspire people? I hope that people see that I push myself to be the runner that I am and then they too can push to be the person they want to be. My goal in life is to be a great wife, mother, runner and baker. I want people to see those goals and make them for themselves as well. Well not my goals, but you know what I mean.

What’s your primary workout?

I love to run! I have run several 5K’s and 10K’s, 11 half marathons, and 1 full marathon. I am currently training for my second full marathon. My favorite race distance is a half marathon.

How long have you been running?

I’ve been running for almost 3 years! I fell in love with running while completing the couch to 5K program.

How often do you run?

I run 3-4 times a week. I run at least one long run and the rest are usually around 3-4 miles.

What’s your favorite outfit to Sweat Pink in?

I always run in a skirt because I like to look cute when I am running (as cute as you can look while running lol)!

What’s your favorite healthy snack and meal?

I love Chobani yogurt and sushi! But not together lol!

If you could have one cheat day where nothing counted against you, what would you eat and do?

I would eat pizza and watch movies on the couch all day! 😉

What is your biggest motivation to staying fit?

My biggest motivation is my boys. I want to be a healthy role model for them and show them that being healthy is important as well as fun!

Any advice for the beginners out there?

I always advise beginner runners to take it slow. That’s the biggest mistake beginner runners make…running too fast.

What’s your favorite thing about blogging?

I love the accountability and the community! When I blog about something I feel like my readers hold me accountable and so I must do what I wrote I was going to do. I also love all the new online friends I have made through blogging!

How do you hope to inspire people?

I hope to inspire people by showing them that if I can do it they can too! I believe anyone can run…you may not like it but you CAN do it. You can do anything you set your mind to do!

What’s your primary workout?
I am primarily a runner so my workout includes a mix of distance runs with some interval training mixed in! I have also been doing some serious kettlebell training, which I love — and do twice a week!

How long have you been working out?
I have been a committed runner for the last 2 years and haven’t looked back since!

How often do you work out?
I run 3-4 days a week. Kettlebell workouts twice a week and yoga once a week.

What’s your favorite outfit to Sweat Pink in?
I love Dryfit shorts by Nike, a good sportsbra tank (I am a c cup so I need all the support I can get!), drywick socks (to avoid blisters while running) and comfy shoes with lots of support for my arches.

What’s your favorite healthy snack and meal?
I love a salad of mixed herbs and greens, topped with some baked salmon. yum!

If you could have one cheat day where nothing counted against you, what would you eat and do?
Oh dear. I would eat biscuits and gravy with bacon and sausage for breakfast. Then go lay on the beach for a few hours while reading a book, then I would walk around and take pictures of beautiful random things. I’d have a buffulo chicken sandwich with bacon for lunch and wash that down with a milkshake. Then I would start happy hour at 4pm and drink margaritas till midnight. Dinner would be a huge italian spread with lots of pasta and chicken parmagian! dessert would be a huge plate of tiramisu! yum yum yum!

What is your biggest motivation to staying fit?
Looking at old pictures of me when I didn’t care about eating healthy or being active. **shudder** Also, as I get older my metabolism slowly decreases, so i’m basically trying to stay fit as I age.

Any advice for the beginners out there? Just know that it will not be easy. Welcome the challenge and remember to keep going. Also, it helps to have a good friend (or in my case, a fiance) who will support and motivate you.

What’s your favorite thing about blogging?
I love sharing my thoughts, experiences, and pictures with people who are looking for motivation and inspiration. I want to reach out to women who think they can’t run log distances or work out with heavy weights and give them the confidence they need to go out there and make a lifestyle change!

How do you hope to inspire people?
Lots and lots of positivity paired with an honest outlook on fitness. No, I don’t run 10 miles everyday, nor do I expect you to. I hope to inspire by being a good rolemodel and showing people that you can be active and still have a social life and eat cake and drink beers — the important part is keeping a balance.
