Question answered and a recipe…

A question I get ALOT, “What is PB2?”  I post my meals and snacks on Facebook quite often (you probably find it annoying, but I don’t care) for the sole purpose of ideas for YOU. I know I get burned out on the same thing all the time and I like to see what other people eat. I like to jazz up my day with a new snack every once in a while, but a constant in my food journal is PB2. I put it in my oatmeal, my shakes, and dip my fruit in it. Still wondering what the heck I’m talking about? Here’s the definition straight from the website:

PB2 has the same consistency as full fat peanut butter with all of the natural roasted peanut flavor, but with nearly 85% less fat calories. PB2 is made with high quality peanuts that are slow-roasted to our specifications and pressed to remove the oil. All natural with no artificial flavors,sweeteners, or preservatives.

PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter is mixed with water to create a traditional peanut butter mixture. It also works and tastes wonderfully in recipes that call for the use of peanut butter.

Best part is one serving of PB2 is only 45 calories! 45! Your creamy peanut butter sitting in the pantry, well that’s a whopping 190! And I know you have more than a serving of that stuff. Right? I’ve been guilty of it too, don’t worry. So, you can see why I love this stuff so much. I received my shipment yesterday. I like to store it in a plastic air tight container right by my Shakeology so it’s ready to go. Maddox helped me…kind of.

They even make chocolate PB2. Yeah. Chocoloate. I jazzed (the word of the day in my head) up my oatmeal today too. Here’s a new recipe for you to try.

1/2 cup oats

1 cup almond milk

2 Tablespoons chocolate PB2

Mix it up. Heat it up. Eat it up.

Clean Peanut Butter Oatmeal

Breakfast time! This is a usual breakfast for me. It’s clean, it’s filling, and it tastes amazing!

Let’s gather our ingredients shall we?

1/2 cup Oats
1 tsp. flax (optional)
3/4 cup almond milk
2 tbl. PB2
Cinnamon
Mix together in a small pot, bring to boil, and heat until oats are cooked. I always add a little more cinnamon after I put my oatmeal in a bowl.

Add some fruit for a balanced breakfast! Have a beautiful morning!
