What’s your primary workout? Crossfit is my constant but I train for various runs throughout the year too =)

How long have you been working out? Oh gosh! Forever… really started in high school freshman year when I was training for varsity soccer

How often do you work out? 4-5 times a week **fingers crossed for that, sometimes weather gets in the way of my runs**

What’s your favorite outfit to Sweat Pink in? I love love love my lululemon pants. They are so comfy and they don’t fall off at all like a lot of another workout capris/pants do. So to run I am usually in lulu pants and just a t-shirt and/or jacket depending on the weather. To Crossfit I am usually in an old baggy t-shirt and soccer shorts- I don’t even try to look cute then!

What’s your favorite healthy snack and meal? Snack- I love carrots. I actually love to juice carrots and apples together as a healthy snack… I throw in some spinach in there as well! For a meal- one of my favorite meals is mini-turkey meatloaves. We make meatloaf with lean ground turkey, panko bread crumbs, and anything else you have in your fridge and want to put in meatloaf and then we cook them in a muffin tin. Easy and delicious!

If you could have one cheat day where nothing counted against you, what would you eat and do? Oh my! What wouldn’t I eat. I love love candy! So I would eat bags of Sour Patch Kids topped off with Oreos and crunchy Cheetos! Is that too much? =)

What is your biggest motivation to staying fit? I feel better about myself when I feel fit. Sure, it helps to look good for others but at the end of the day I want to be able to look in the mirror and say “yes I work hard but I feel good about my body and where I am at”. Attitude is really the most important part to me- if I feel good people around me feel good. <br />Any advice for the beginners out there? Find your inner inspiration. I think too often we start working out because we think it’s the “healthy” thing to do and sure that is true BUT what is really important is working out for you. I think each person should figure out what motivates them and what they enjoy. Don’t run if you don’t love it ya know? Maybe you love organized sports so join a soccer or volleyball team. Maybe you are really in to weight lifting so join a Crossfit gym. There are so many ways to have FUN while being HEALTHY and I would tell a beginning to just start at the beginning and figure out what they love to do and find a way to make it happen. Make the time, make the commitment, and make it happen!
9. What’s your favorite thing about blogging? I love sharing my life with others and not in that “everything is always perfect” kind of way. I like being real and talking about issues that really resonate with me- like body image and that “hard stuff” that people just don’t like to talk about but always appreciate that they are not the only ones going through a hard time. Blogging for me is a way to share my passions… writing, working out, and living life, with others who have similar or completely different views on life. It’s a wonderful way to connect with yourself and others and I just love doing it!

How do you hope to inspire people? I hope to show people that being a size 0 is not always possible and that healthy happy women can be strong. I hope to encourage people to accept who they are and work toward being a better “them” and not someone else they want to be. Mostly I just hope to help 1 person in life feel better about themselves and to really bring awareness that we all have issues whether we are a size 0 or a size 20 and that we should all love each other for who we are. Women need to stop beating themselves up about the number on the scale and what they think other people see. At the end of the day it’s what they think about themselves that is most important… and most inspiring to me!
