“Crunchmaster” Giveaway and Review!

21 Feb

My son is a big snacker. He’s 3. He loves to have little bowls of them everywhere. Cheerios, Goldfish, crackers, you name it. I was delighted when I was presented the opportunity to do a review for Crunchmaster.

When it comes to your kids, finding delicious gluten free snacks shouldn’t have to be hard. Crunchmaster makes it easy with Cheddar Cheezy Crisps and Cinnamon & Sugar Grammy Crisps. And best of all, you don’t have to sacrifice nutrition for great taste.
Our Crisps are made with 100% whole grains, contain 50% less fat than regular cheese and graham cracker snacks and are certified gluten and peanut free. Crunchmaster Crisps give kids (and grown-ups) the perfect snack for at home, on the go and every stop in between. Keep the flavor. Lose the gluten.

So, here’s what we got.

20130220-195907.jpg

The big test isn’t with me. It’s with Maddox. I could eat pretty much anything. I gave him a few Cheddar Cheezy Crisps with his lunch. Not expecting alot. To my surprise, they were gone! Not on the floor, the couch cushions, or stomped to powder. He ate them and he wanted more! And guess what he had to have in a little bowl later that afternoon? Cinnamon & Sugar Grammy Crisps.

Would you like to win some snacks? Comment below! Tell me what your kid’s, or your, favorite snack is! Remember to comment extra if you Facebook or Tweet too!

The winner will be announced Friday on my Facebook page.

You win.

27 Dec

Last week I started to feel as if I was coming down with something. Sure enough, a truck hit me on Christmas day. Joy! So, not only was I sick, but Tyrell was too.
We spent the day grossing eachother out with our coughing and sniffling while watching Roseanne. It was a Christmas to remember. I told Tyrell that atleast we’re home together and it was better than a few years ago when we spent Christmas in the hospital with our sick two month old baby. But then I agreed with him when he said, “Yeah, but atleast we got to order Chinese.” So true.

My 90 days of Les Mills Pump was supposed to end on Christmas day too. I have 2 more workouts to do and I’m done. I don’t have a set program in mind that I want to tackle. I plan on running alot more, possibly scheduling a ton of races. I need to make my mind up about that soon. It’s hard to think about running when your lungs feel like they’re full of broken glass. I never get sick, once a year maybe, but when I do, I go all out.

Dust off the cookies and win some GU!

11 Dec

My husband is evil. He made peanut butter cookies the other night. I have never been a huge fan of them, but these were different. These cookies were amazingly delicious. I ate a billion of them. Oops.

So, today I am dusting myself off (because I am full of cookie crumbs) and I am getting back on track. What better way to get back on track than to do another giveaway! Yay!

The nice people at GU Energy sent me a ton of gels to share with you! I love my GU gels. They are a must for me before I go for a run or any cardio workout. They give me that extra oomph.

GU Energy Gel provides athletes with a dose of 100 calories to deliver high-quality, easily-digested and long-lasting energy for athletes in every sport and at all levels. Everything inside each packet of GU is engineered to do one simple thing: provide your body with the essential nutrition it needs to keep going for miles and miles and hours and hours. It goes down easy, and it goes to work fast so you don’t have to slow down.

What’s in it?

Carbohydrates – GU provides athletes with a dose of 100 calories in the form of 70-80% maltodextrin and 30-20% fructose (The ratio depends upon the flavor.). Why the mix? It’s a complex carbohydrate, and studies have shown that some complex carbs are actually digested faster than simple sugars like table sugar and honey.
Amino Acid Blend – GU features a unique blend of amino acids to combat muscle fatigue, accelerate the conversion of carbohydrates into usable energy, and maintain mental focus.
Electrolytes – Sodium and potassium to replenish what is lost during strenuous activity.
Caffeine – Some GU flavors are caffeinated while others are not. We add caffeine for two reasons: It acts as a stimulant and it lowers the perceived effort.

How’s it different?

An optimal blend of carbohydrates, the proprietary GU amino blend, and a full serving of Vitamin C & E. Oh yeah, did we mention taste? GU Energy Gel has the time-tested consistency and delicious taste that athletes have come to expect from the original energy gel.

How do I use it?

GU should be consumed 15 minutes before and then every 45 minutes thereafter.

You want to try these, don’t ya? I will be giving away 2 sample kits. You know the drill. You need to comment below to be in the drawing. Tell me how you fuel your workouts! Want more chances to win? You have all day today to Tweet, Facebook, etc. this giveaway. Make sure you let me know by posting an additional comment for each shoutout. I will announce the winner tomorrow. You will have 48 hours to claim your goodies. Enjoy!
